I'm a retired Information Technology executive who's had a lifelong interest in photography.
Some of the first money I earned on my paper route went for a camera. In high school I was a member of the camera club and had my own darkroom.
After earning my Master of Applied Science degree from the University of Toronto, I had a successful 30-year career in Information Technology.
Since my early retirement in January 2006 I’ve immersed myself in digital photography:
Photography stimulates me with the creative and technical challenges that have driven me through a lifelong approach to continuous learning.
My photography business is a labour of love for me. Since it's not my primary income, I keep the volume of my business low. This allows me to take the time to deliver a superior product. Most importantly, the low volume provides me with a fresh approach at each session, instead of the shoots becoming routine and mechanical. I use high-quality professional equipment, including studio strobe lights when needed.
My pricing is very reasonable. The minimum is $100 plus expenses and HST for a short event or location portrait shoot. Longer events or more complex family shoots are priced accordingly. Expenses are typically only parking costs.
You’ll receive a DVD with both high-resolution JPG files and a separate copy of all pictures suitable for the web (lower resolution). All images are edited and colour corrected.
On request I can also produce TIF files, B&W (monochrome) images, special effects and images cropped to your specifications for framing.
